Finish setting up
Work through the setup checklist, eight short steps from a new organization to your first posted bill, and find it again later.
In the app:Dashboard
On this page
When you create an organization, Conduit TEM opens a short checklist that takes you from an empty account to your first posted bill. Most steps take a minute. Do them in any order and skip anything that doesn't fit yet.
Only owners and admins see the checklist.
Open the checklist
- Right after you create your organization, you land on it.
- On the Dashboard, the Finish setting up card shows how many steps are done. Select Continue setup.
- At any time, open your name at the bottom of the menu (the circle with your initials on a phone) and choose Setup.
How the checklist works

Each step shows To do, Done or Skipped. Select a step to open it. Inside you'll find:
- a short explanation and a button that takes you where the work happens;
- Skip for now, which keeps the step on the list for later;
- Mark as done, if you've already handled it some other way;
- How it works, which opens the guide for that step.
Most steps tick themselves off once Conduit TEM sees the work is done. For example, Invite your team is done as soon as you send an invitation. To bring back a skipped step, open it and select Put back on the list.
The eight steps
- Add your company profile. Select Add website and logo, type your website and choose Look up. Conduit TEM suggests your logo and a short description. To change your company name, country or currency, select Change name or currency.
- Set up your locations. If all your bills belong to one place, select We have one location and you're done. If bills cover several sites, select We have several locations to add them. Then each bill line can be charged to the right site. With one location, Conduit TEM keeps the location menus out of your way.
- Invite your team. The step lists each role in one line. Select Invite people, enter their email and pick a role. See Invite your team.
- Get your bills in. Your organization has its own bill inbox address. Select Copy and forward your carrier bills to it, or select Upload a bill now. Forwarding tips shows how to set up a rule in Gmail, in Outlook or in your carrier's online account.
- Review your first bill. Once a bill is in, select Review your bill with a tour. A short tour points out each part of the review screen (see below). Posting the bill completes the step.
- Match lines to people. Select Import people to bring in a list of people with their phone numbers, or Assign people to lines to pick a person for each line in Inventory.
- Set up approvals and payables. Select Set up approvals to choose how posted bills are approved for payment and to add your accounts payable email. To route bills to particular approvers, select Draw an approval flow.
- Look around. Links to Anomalies (findings such as overcharges and unused lines), the Dashboard and Reports. The step is done once you've handled a finding, or when you select Mark as done.
The review tour
The tour highlights one part of the review screen at a time:
- the bill as your carrier sent it;
- Summary and Lines, where you check the totals and correct anything Conduit AI read wrong;
- where each line is charged, if you have several locations;
- anything Conduit AI wants you to check before posting;
- the Post invoice button.

Select Next and Back, or use the left and right arrow keys. Press Esc or select × to close the tour. To see it again, select Tour at the top of any bill waiting for review. On a phone, the tour appears at the bottom of the screen.
For the review screen itself, see Review and post a bill.
Hide the checklist
On the Dashboard, select × on the Finish setting up card. Undo in the message that appears brings the card back straight away.
Hiding the card keeps your progress, and hides it for everyone in your organization. You can still open the checklist from Setup in your menu. To put the card back on the dashboard, open the checklist and select Show on the dashboard.
The card goes away by itself once every step is done.
